Dalaman, once only known for its airport, is now rapidly becoming an investment area for many Europeans purchasing property in Turkey.
Situated between the sea and the mountains and with 10kms of unspoilt coastline, Dalaman is the perfect location for those wanting a second home or to make that permanent move!!!
Since 2004 when the Turkish Government announced that Dalaman was to become a tourism development centre, the town has attracted world wide investments both private and commercial. Future plans for the area are well under way, with the construction of a standard golf course and plans for a yachting marina at Dalaman beach. A new hospital, supermarkets, and large golf hotels, are just a few more of the items on the developmental agenda for the area!
Dalaman town itself is growing and now has many shops, resturants, bars and tea gardens. Dalaman also has its own natural beach. Although not commercialised at present, it is still pleasant and is host to lots of wildlife, including the protected rare loggerhead turtles that frequent the river and the beach. The protection of this wildlife, will ensure that future developments in the Dalaman area will be carefully planned and monitored and that overcrowding will not become an issue
